  1. I was in Lake Como by accident (a very fortunate one by the way) on one of my trips to Italy. My main destination was Milan and Rome, but one of my friends had some business to take care of there. The best way to get to Lake Como is by trenitalia, it is not expensive.

I really liked Lake Como, it was like a town out of a story book, with cobblestone streets and nice architecture. This town is right on the border with Switzerland, I believe the border city is Lugano. You can see the beautiful Alps, which are amazing. I would love to go back and take the time to truly explore Lake Como. Everything is just breathtaking.

  2. i've been a couple of times. it's beatiful, but i wouldn't exaggerate. It's nice because; on one side you've mountains with sometimes snow at the top, the weather is always mild and fresh, the shore is mostly occupied with nice houses and it's a big lake... On the other hand, as the shore is all covered by houses, you don't have access to the shore where the shore is beatufil. The best thing to do is take a boat trip that lasts 20 minutes. Walk or cycle around the lake. Eat nice food etc. All in all what i'm saying is, it's a nice place, but spending more than 2 days there would not be a good idea.
