  1. Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  2. yea its the main street in barcelona has allyour big shops on! not been for a couple of years bit it is one of the main things to see and do in barcá

  3. Yes , its worth the trip, check out the Market there for fresh seafood etc,  restaurants can be a bit more in price, but it's worth it

    Happy shopping

    =)

  4. Its a long, main street in Barcelona.....apparently it was an old lava flow or something....its depends on how much shopping you like!!!

  5. Well, Las Ramblas is just a street -- so you'd really only need a day, tops, to check out everything on it. Granted, it's fairly long (1.2 kilometers) and incredibly lively, busy, and cosmopolitan, but there are a ton of other things to do and see in Barcelona as well: La Sagrada Familia (the still-unfinished church designed by Antoni Gaudi) and the Picasso Museum to name a few -- as well as all those fabulous cafes and restaurants! So yes, Barcelona itself is certainly worth visiting for a few days in order to pack all the sights and activities in, but don't forget to expand your visit BEYOND Las Ramblas!

I've included a link below that will give you some great information on Las Ramblas -- what to do, what to see, how to get there -- as well as a more general site for things to do in Barcelona itself.

Have a fantastic trip! Barcelona is so wonderful that I'm sure you'll wish you'd allocated MORE than a few days to spend there!
