  1. Winstom Churchill

  2. rainy ha-ha!

  3. Its beautiful - just soak up as much culture as you can!

  4. Great place.  Beautiful beach towns.  The cathedral in Rouen is beautiful;  It is the one that Monet painted many times.   Incidently Monets house and studio are on exhibit in Normandy at Giverney.  Its famous for cider, a harder apple distillation called calvados and Camembert cheese.  Mont St. Michel is there, you won't want to miss that - you've probably seen posters of it.  Be prepared for rain from autumn to spring.  The storms often don't last long and often light, but there will be a few a day.  Not much rain in summer.  Omaha beach is there.  Don't miss the Tapestry of Bayeux that talks about the battle of hastings.

  5. no

  6. Normandy is a very beautiful area.

You will see it's a "green" place (lot of grass)...because it rains from time to time.

So there are many cows and so there is milk...and one of  the Normandy speciality is cheese (Camembert, Pont l'Eveque, Livarot...)

There are also good apples, and the seconde speciality is Cider and Calvados (Apple alcohol).

The main towns are Caen (many historical things to see there and also the peace memorial) and Rouen.

You have to see also the D-Day Beaches

And also the fantastic tapestry in Bayeux (the story of William the conqueror)...

And also many beaches, some typical ones and some more rich like Deauville, with its Casino.

And a wonderful and beautiful little harbour : Honfleur

    I give some links

I'm sure you will enjoy your trip !
