  3. Hello, Ann!

The nearest airport to Port Isaac is actually Newquay - and there are fairly regular flights to and from Dublin with Air Southwest http://www.airsouthwest.com/travel.php?i...  The flight takes about two hours, sometimes via Plymouth but with no change of plane.  Here's a link to the airport's home page http://www.newquaycornwallairport.com/

The drive from Newquay airport to Port Isaac is about 20 miles, with a large part being on the main A39.  Car hire is available at Newquay airport http://www.carrentals.co.uk/car-hire/new...

According to the Port Isaac website, Western National run buses that connect Newquay and Port Isaac.  I think Western National is now part of First Group - the Cornwall timetables and route info can be found here http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/southwes...

Port Isaac is very small, but due to it's picturesque nature it is visited by a lot of tourists.  There are B&B's and holiday lets available both in the village and nearby http://www.portisaac-online.co.uk/

In recent years the village has become a popular location for "second homes", including for a few minor celebrities.

Edited to add - I've just found out that Air Southwest also fly from Cork to Newquay!  http://www.airsouthwest.com/travel.php?i...

  5. Yes it is where it was filmed....lots of programs have been filmed there.  It is not geared too much towards a touristy theme like Blackpool etc...but it is very busy in the summer.  Beautiful place though, well worth a visit.
