Anyone been to SMITHILLS FARM in bolton?

am thinking of taking my young kids here in the 6 week hols , kids are aged one and four

has anyone been with their children , is it a good day out for them?

how do i get there from bolton centre using buses and do i have to book it or just go

Its great!!!!! We fell upon it by accident.We had been to a wedding fair at the coaching house. To get there get the 501 from the small bus station near the train station and get off at Brownlow fold (or just ask the driver to tell you when you are there) and its about 5 mins walk. We went in the spring and they had loads of baby animals that you could feed, they have wildlife talks stuff like that. You don't need to book, just go but i would get there early. It is a really really good day out.
