  1. Beautiful! Loved the area around Cagliari and Quartu. Great weather, esp. if you're going in the winter. And, ironically, the people spoke some of the clearest, cleanest, most understandable Italian that I heard in my 13+ months in Italy -- different accent from the mainland cities, but beautiful and very clear. I'd go again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself.

  2. I went in Carloforte two summers ago... Amazing, a Paradise in Earth!

  3. wonderful sea, maybe the best sea in Europe, not much night life.

  4. Sardinia is an amazing region.

You can enjoy beautiful landscapes, wild nature, fascinating beaches but you can discover a lot about art & culture...

Sardinia is rich in traditions... !!!I think it's really an interesting region to visit...!!!

  5. It is AMAZING. Go for the northern coast if you like small bays (enchanting lil treasures), crystal water and white sand, surrounded by pink or orange rocks. The southern is a bit wilder, with huge beaches.

And the food... wooooh the food.

Have a look a these hotels (I've stayed in a couple) to have an idea:

    Cheers!

  6. ciao!yes i've been in sardinia a few years ago and is a very beautiful place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If you want a place without strong wind you must go in the south est of sardinia(Villasimius), because in the other places(alghero, porto cervo, costa smeralda) there are too wind for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO, this is very beautiful but far the big city there aren't many locals, but in every village there are many activities and funs

  7. Sardinia is one of the loveliest places in Europe with the best beaches by far and some of the friendliest people in the world. If you would like to read more about it these are some of the books I recommend http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

It is a very special place and I am sure you will fall in love with it as soon as you arrive.

  8. Sardinia is a wonderful place! I'm italian and I go there every summer! I think it's quite strange: there are countries with particular traditions, very different from ours (i live in the north of italy, near verona), that's the reason why everybody speaks of sardinia like a savage place, even if you won't found anything like lions or jungle! I love that side of sardinia, but there is also another you should know: there is a place, called costa smeralda, where you can find VIPs, yachts and shops very very expensive. You should go there if you want to know the meaning of la dolce vita! Anyway, the best thing to do is to rent a car and go around and discover it. Remember just one thing: in italy only people who works in touristic places speak english, but as i told you, sardinia has also countries where tourists never go, so you should learn something in italian...

  9. I want to go to italia.

  10. i went for my birthday in june and loved it - it was amazingly beautiful, rustic and serene. by boyfriend said thats the only time he has ever seen me truely relaxed ( also been to sicily and that just stressed me out ) we stayed at hotel punta negra in a small town of fertila 5 mins away from olbeia airport. the hotel was small with a private beach and we could see the local chefs every morning getting there lobster. i loved it and recomend it to every one. the town of algheo was great cobbled streets, great reatraunts and amazing harbour.
