    good luck

  2. i've been to  hcmc and you'll find its rich history by visiting museums and temples.

  3. IT SUCKS

  4. viet nam is very nice. it can be a little frustrating to get around for the 1st time [ even experienced visitor] always have a back up plan and " go with the flow". one can travel around as a "backpacker" or go the upscale rout staying at 5 star hotels..eating at fancy resturaunts and seeing the opera or any class in between.. i think the "back packers" have the best time because they are "out in the street" meeting the people[ viet namese, expats, other travelers]because that is the best viet nam has to offer.

your first time there.. stay on the "tourist  trail" , sai gon, nha trang ,hoi an, hue , ha noi, maybe sapa.. those are the easiest places to get to . from there you can take day trips to many many places , . take the tourist trail, buy the tourist hand books, but dont be a "tourist" go as a "traveler." & "adventura".........get yourself a moto driver and go....to the mts, through the cities, down to the beach at 5am....thank me later ...

ps. read the many "resolved questions" on this site for an abundance of great info...

  5. It's exotic a bit odd and you'll like it.

  6. been to Ho Chi minh city...

on my first trip i felt that the traffic scares me... out of city centre, there was absolutely no traffic light. keeps me wonder whether the local do crosses the road?

next, i like their local scrimp or maybe veg rice paper rolls.  very healthy lots of vegetable that i dont know.. and they eat them RAW. but tasty to go with the local fish sauce.. yummy and their pho(beef rice noodle soup) is nice too

  7. This is an easy one.  Vietnam is the new place to go.  The country is absolutely beautiful.  With miles of white sand beaches, cool mountain hideaways, Great city night life and cozy country inns.  It’s very inexpensive. You can get nice hotel rooms for $10 and beer is 15 cents a glass. The people are wonderful. I have traveled just about everywhere and I ended up buying a home here because I like it so much.  Flights from almost any where are around $1000 USD. You more than make up the difference with the inexpensive lodging etc.  Also, you are close to Thailand, Cambodia , (Angkor Wat) Lao, Hong Kong, A ticket to Kuala Lumpur is about $50,  Lots to do and plenty to see. Check it out.

You will never regret it if you come to Vietnam. . Great food, amazingly wonderful people. We stopped our bikes at the end of the road by the river the other day. Out in the middle of no where. In minutes we were surrounded by kids saying "hello, Where you from?" the mothers came out a few minutes later and they are bringing out food and laughing. A few minutes later the men came out bringing the rice wine. We had a full on party going and didn't understand much of what was going on. But... we knew that they were really friendly and they treated us like Rock Stars. Just amazing. Don't miss Vietnam. It will be your best trip ever. I promise.

  8. I was in Vietnam in 2005 and fall in love with the country ever since.  The people are hospitable, intelligent, hard working, and adorable.  The food is outstanding and probably one of the best cuisines in the world.  I also love the culture and the sceneries.  With so much developments throughout the country and a fast growing economy,  I believe Vietnam will be the next Asian Tiger and the top ten tourist destinations in the world by the year 2020.  Vietnam will be a more attractive country in Asia.

  9. i just came back from v.n. 4 days ago. i have to say, it was very different from what i'm used to here in california. i wasn't used to the streets, the driving scares me. the touring however, was really nice. beaches like nha trang and vung tau, and resorts like binh chau are so pretty. they make you get this "at home" feeling but at the same time you experience new stuff. i had a great time, although i'd advise you to becareful about what you eat and drink.

  10. It's very hot and the streets are somewhat dirty. There are alot of homeless people around that always beg for money. But don't give it to them...as soon as you give to one person...a whole squad of them will show up asking for money. Other then that...it is a nice place to visit. Very fun...everything is so cheap.

  11. i enjoy it...i love it when the school ended so i can watch cute girl in their white ao dai, i think cute girls with ao dai just make my heart beat faster....so cute :D

  12. it is a beautiful and friendly place.

  13. I lived in Ha Noi.

    Very nice.
