  1. YES!

and it was a bit naff,

the food was that poncey type and very expensive

  2. pompous a$$es all of them

  3. He has a website.  He owns several restaurants, bars, semi-casual restaurants.  Most of them are very formal suit and jacket required places.  You pay a flat fee for a choice of a meal consisting of several courses.  They are also very expensive.  A meal for 2 would probably run $150 and up.

  4. no but ive bin to ramsay street

  5. 2 of them and they were both fantastic - well worth trying to get a table for a special occasion.

  6. full of ignorant arrogant foul mouthed and up their own *** people...

  7. No... But if I were able go, I am sure I'd better bring plenty of cash!!

  8. A friend of mine has been a few times and said it was worth every penny. Sorry, can't remember which one, but one of the older restaurants

  9. Had lunch at the one in Chelsea, excellent fun, and great food

  10. yes claridges excellent would definitely recommend

  11. like him he is so funny.

  12. no but are you a cow-girl by profession?

  13. First of all I rather object to the description of the first poster...I am not foul mouthed and up my own ****.....My wife and I went to Aubergine. his first restaurant in London...we went for lunch, and whilst expensive, it was not a rip off...the food was excellent...and not bad value...yes you could pay hundreds for wine, but you didn't have to...there were reasonable priced bottles...the food was the best I have tasted...also went to his failed restaurant in Glasgow...now that was a bit of a rip off...no atmosphere...and I don't think Scotland was ready for London food and prices....but he is a talented chef...who has passed his knowledge and talents to others....he is now more a media star than a chef....but in his early days he was a great chef...so I liked it.

  14. i suppose that the old maxim of "any press is good press" must be true. but not for me.

i would cross the road before i'd go anywhere near his restaurants.

    or marco pierre-white's.

i could not bear the though of such ignorant people making profit out of me.

  15. Yes, I've been to Claridges and his own restaurant on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea. (With work, I couldn't afford it on my own!) Claridges is a real treat but I really liked the one in Chelsea. Its really intimate (you can only get about 40 people in the restaurant) but the food is great. We were treated very well - there were 8 of us in total and the final bill came to just under £3000 which I nearly fell off my chair about. Luckily my boss paid! The wine / champers is what really hikes the price up but if you want to go for a nice meal with a bottle of wine between you I really do recommend it.

  16. I haven't but my brother has and he said him and his wife had 4 drinks each and a 4 course meal that was gorgeous and it was only £88. Said they were treated like royalty and the whole experience was excellent.

  17. Absolutely wonderful! The service, the food, it lives up to the hype. I also have several of his books, he truly is an inspired (and inspiring) chef. Save up and go, it's worth it!

  18. Overrated and overpriced.
