  1. Personally i hated it. Was full of drunken English and Irish idiots and i will not be returning again!!

I guess its all what you want though, i wanted to be near the sea but not around Brits and this just isnt possible you have to go further inland to get away from them.

Canary Islands in my opinion are much nicer, with better weather and less Brits!!

  2. It's not very Spanish I'm sorry to say.  It's like England but with sun, which is why it is so popular with brit tourists.  I went there for sunday dinner and a few hours there was enough for me and my boyfriend.  We went for a walk along the prom which was ok, but spoiled in parts buy a big metal fence due to construction so you couldn't see the beach.  Then it got ugly at dark as all the neon lights went on.

It's really hot weather at the moment, so I'm sure you will enjoy your holiday, especially if you haven't been abroad before, or to any other part of Spain.

Calle Gerona is apparently the main strip where all the action is at night.

Benidorm is in a cove, so if you stand facing the beach, then turn right and follow the prom to your right there was a nice patch of beach around a corner and there were a few pubs that looked ok.

  3. Depends what you want really! I used to live in Alicante, and would visit Benidorm for an English breakfast every now and then! Its full of British/Germans, so don't worry if you can't speak Spanish. Its full of hotels bars and restaurants, and a couple of beaches. If you're after a good nightlife, i'm sure you'll be fine! Also around Benidorm are a number of waterparks, theme parks, sea life centers etc etc, plenty to do, and you should def. visit some of the towns nearby - la vilajoyosa has a chocolate museum which is really good :)

  4. benidorm is brilliant ,sun sea sand loads to do ,loads of night life ,and if anyone else says its like blackpool,i will scream .i dont like blackpool but love benidorm .

  5. Maybe you're reading this in one of the many Internet cafes in Benidorm. I go there a couple of times a year and love the friendliness and the weather. Clothes, food drink etc are all inexpensive.

If you read this , in time, pop along to the 'Bar Sol' at the far end of Levante beach where you will be assured of a great welcome from Pauline, Steve and the boys. Use the bus if you're thinking of visiting any of the neighbouring towns like Villajoyosa or Altea. The trains run hourly up and down the line and are very cost effective

Have fun - we always  do !
