  1. I haven't stayed in Fuengirola but know it quite well. I would say that probably The London Pub is the best known pub for the brits on holiday. Once there you can get chatting to other people and they can advise on other hot spots. The London Pub is pretty central so it's a good place to start.

  2. Depends on your age.  If like myself your past your sell-by date and enjoy 60's music, the best place by far is The Waterfront Bar down in the harbour.

  3. Fuengirola is probably most famous for its five miles of sandy beaches, flanked by some of thew most depressing concrete high-rise hotels and residential blocks of apartments which put a massive blot onto the magnificent views of the Mediterranean and sweeping coastline.

A recent landscaping drive by the local municipality has resulted in a wider promenade and plenty of palm trees, interspersed with colourful flower beds and additional seating. The beaches known as Boliches - Gaviotas and Torreblanca hold a European blue flag. So if you want to sit on the beach during the day like a vegtable, your be ok.

Fuengirola is particularly popular us British and you don't have to suffer the Andalusian traditional tapas (bar snacks) and shellfish dishes as there is loads of deppresivly boring bangers and beans and Guinness on tap.

The advantage of staying here is that it is a compact seaside resort - the Tuesdays market is ok and a massive aqua park,

nearby Los Boliches still has a few old houses in it, but on the whole you won't even know you left the UK.

I prefer to get away from the ugly coast, and hit towns like Cordoba, but you will have to speak a few phrases in Spanish to do this, and the food is not going to be boring or fried!

  4. stayed in las palmeras across from london pub, the pub is very busy in summer months quit expensive but worth it. also 2 doors up tramps very good with free shots. If you fancy spanish disco try maxi disco is good. like a steak try ponchos along from london pub superb.
