Anyone been to egypt in may?

what was the weather like.any?tips and reccomendations welcome.

The weather in May is very good it's not cool like the previous months in this month it starts to warm up for summer but not as hot as the summer months.  The temperature you will expect is between 25 and 30 degrees and the nights are cool but not chilly.  It is the perfect time to go before the summer months as it reaches 40 degrees and the night are so hot and very uncomfortable.  

Drink bottled water all the time if you can brush your teeth with bottled water then do so if not there will be no problem just don't go drinking lots of the tap water.  Change sterling to Egyptian pounds when you are in Egypt you will get a much better exchange rate and it is better to use the local currency and £1 (sterling) equals 10LE (Egyptian pounds).  

If you are going to Sharm El Sheikh then i recommend a boat trip to either Ras Mohamed or Tiran where you can snorkel and have lunch on the boat and it lasts all day.  Quad biking in the Sinai peninsula and have some Bedouin tea.  Go to Naama bay at night to have dinner in a restaurant and go shopping go to a coffee shop (they don't just do coffee the do tea fresh juice soft drinks and some sell alcohol).  Bars, clubs.

in Cairo and down to Luxor it  will be nice to bearable hot. in Aswan there is a chance you will feel like they put you into the oven.

Yes i was just there in all of may, its nice actually, but it may get a little chilly at night, specially if your near the sea ie: Alexandria for example.

You probably should take a jacket just in case. But in the morning it is warm so no worries about that.

I found that in May it was just starting to get hot. But it was certainly bearable, the air was still ok. The best time to go to Egypt is in Oct-Dec if its the heat you're worried about, but you won't be able to swim in those months, it's rainy and cold. May is a perfect time to go. Cheers!
