Anyone been to lake garda?

I'm going to Lake Garda in Italy this weekend and just wondered if anyone who's been there could tell me a bit about it? like whats the weather generaly like? whats there to do there? what are the people like? anything really, as much as pos! :D x

I've been there in June..

The lake garda area is really awesome. The North is filled with big mountains and the South is flat with nice villages like Peschiera and Sirmione. The weather in the South is mostly sunny and hot, the North could be colder if you're high in the mountains. In just 1 hour you're in Venice.. The people are very nice and friendly, but not really good in the English language.

Last year, we spent two days driving around Lago di Garda.  It is beautiful trip.

We stayed in the town of Peschiera del Garda at the southern tip, then drove up the eastern shore.  Along the way, we stopped at an olive oil museum that was very interesting.  We then stopped at the twon of Riva del Garda for a night.  On the second day, we drove down the western shore.

i`m italian too... people are nice the weather it`s hot....u`ll have great time

me, i'm italian, people are normal, in the north of italy are better than in the south and garda is in the north, the weather is hot, really hot.... but the place is nice, but the best lake in italy is the lake of como.... can you answer? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

I live about 45 minutes from Lake Garda.

And I just can say to you: go and have a lot of fun!!

The weather is hot (but you can go to swim) , the places are so beautiful (and you can go for shopping all the day long), the people is so funny (there's a lot of disco).

If you can, go to Desenzano: it's the centre of the night-life !
