Anyone been to or hosted a scrap gold party??

I'm wondering what this is all about , it hasn't hit my area yet and I'm wondering if it's worth looking into. Thanks.

Not sure.  Gold prices have been rising over the last few years,and the number of people offering to buy scrap gold have multiplied like mushrooms.

Apparently some enterprising individuals will meet with a bunch of people and make cash offers on the spot for their broken or unused jewelry.
