  1. Well, that depends on the years. Last year it was sunny almost the whole month, I even climbed the Eiffel tower, using the stairs, so gues I wouldn't have done that if that was raining. ^ ^

However it could be a bit chilly.

  2. Paris has a continental climate so normally it' won't rain that much in September

  3. I love Paris early September, that's always when I go. People are just back from their long summer vacation and are still relaxed. I'll be there again for a couple of days this September.

As for the weather I can't promise you it won't rain, Paris is quite rainy in general but as Rillifane pointed out, it's not a problem. In September it may rain every 3 to 4 days (which is below average) but some years have been dry (2004) whereas some are more wet. It depends on the year.

Look at the following link. The graph on the right shows you the rainy days from the 1st to the 30th of September 2007. You can change the year to compare with previous years and get an idea of what to expect. Even the days shown as rainy may be mostly sunny with only a couple of heavy but short downpours (September is still summer after all). http://www.meteociel.fr/climatologie/vil...

As for the chart below it, the first column gives you the high temperatures for each day and the second column the low temperatures (in degrees celsius). Once again, you'll notice that temperatures can be very unpredictable (26.3 degrees - 79 F- on 9/16/07 and then only 15.5 degrees - 59F only two days later).

So be prepared for anything but don't worry, Paris is wonderful no matter what the weather is like. Have a great stay in Paris!

PS: For temperatures, here is a small conversion chart:

    15 C = 59 F

    20 C = 68 F

    25 C = 77 F

    30 C = 86 F

Consider anything between 20 and 25 degrees pleasant and typically Parisian highs in September.

  4. September is, in my opinion the best month to visit Paris. The average high temperature will be 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the average daily low will be 55 Fahrenheit.

The average rainfall for the entire month of September is 2.1 inches and so you should expect some rain, often in the form of relatively brief showers on at least a few days of your visit.

Paris without a little rain now and then wouldn't be the same. I love the days when a light drizzle scatters the sun into gentle glow that suffuses everything with light and transforms the cityscape into one vast impressionist painting.

If such a day happens during your visit don't fret about it but take a seat on a covered terrace in the nearest cafe, get a glass of wine and just sit for a while. There is, after all, nothing more authentically Parisian than that.
