Anyone been to sandals ocho rios resort?

we are getting married on october 3 2009:) in ocho rios. just wondering if anyone has been here to let us know if there's anything we need to make sure we see. like what were your favorite things to do there. we are intrested in golfing, horse back riding on the beach if possible, scuba diving, and snorkling. stuff like that. thank you!!!

We went several years ago and did many things.  Climb Dunn's river falls and go to Rick's cafe to see the sunset and people that cliff dive. Ricks is in Negril, which is really wonderful.  Sandals has exchange priviledges which will allow you to golf at the other Sandals resorts.  you can go out scuba diving and snorkling every day, as well as taking catamaran party boats, horseback riding and sunfish.  We also did ocean kayaking and paddle boats.  Montego bay has a straw market that was also fun, just watch yourself outside of the resorts.  

You cannot go wrong with Sandals.  We have been to 2 different sandals resorts and are now going back to a beaches (same company) with our son.  They are the nicest in Jamaica and the service is wonderful.  You will not be disappointed.  

I have to say I love the people in jamaica.  Friendliest in the caribbean.  (i have been all over the caribbean)

no but i am going in a few weeks for wedding anniversary. try tripadvisor.com for info on sandals ocho rios. i have found lots of useful info and tips for the resort.

we have booked zip line through rain forest, mountain biking, jeep excursion and are doing dunn's river falls. i willbe more than happy to let you know how our trip was after we get back.

We were there just 2 years ago. Loved it. We stayed at the resort though b/c we just wanted to lounge and be lazy. At Ocho Rios (Sandals) they are wonderful people and very friendly. They have a special crew that coordinate outings. They have parties right there on the resort, they take you into town to party at Margaritaville. They also have a concierge service who will book the Dunn River tour, Dolphin Cove, 4-wheeling, horseback riding....those will cost $$$. But the golfing, and snorkeling are free. As soon as you get there they will give you an orientation.
