Anyone been to see the Mary-Rose? What did you think of it.?

Looks like a huge piece of driftwood in a shower!  Interesting to hear the documentary that goes with it but not much to look at.

i did when i was really young and from the comments here i guess it hasnt changed much - just a really old looking bit of soggy wood! pretty darn interesting though that it has survived for so long!

Its worth seeing but you cant walk on it, its behind glass with water running over it ,to keep it from rotting ,But The Victory and other ships are in the Portsmouth docks for you to go on as well There is a man in 15th century dress stood on the door of the Mary Rose its very interesting how they have preserved it,

Its been left way to late to do anything with it best thing would be to rebuild it here in oz

not seen it close up, but my feeling is,  it   was not worth all the money and time to restore it, to what purpose, how many people in the UK ever visited the site, particularly from, the central and northern regions,

Its ok, there are other ships that you can go and see there.

I enjoyed my visit there.....try it even if only to say you have seen it!
