Anyone been to the Saturday Night Dinner Dance at Runnymede Hotel near Heathrow, is it any good?

My son held his 40th birthday party there two years ago. We were a party of 12. It was hard to fault either the quality or quantity of the food or the wine list, but it was necessary to book at least six weeks in advance. The prices were competitive but when booking do check whether there will be an 'automatic' service charge of 15%  this was be added to ALL the charges. My son did not, and the event cost more than was expected, especially as both the bar and dining staff were 'tipped' generously by  individual 'tips'. The dance floor is 'intimate' and the quality of the live band excellent. The girl singer was exceptionally good ( and I hope I am not being 'sexist',

Yes we stayed there in 2004 and enjoyed it very much.food was really nice. You do need to book and priority us given to residents
