  1. It's kinda hard to look for a place in Manila that cost $15 per night.

Better yet check some of the motels around Makati or Pasig.

I have no idea on how much it would cost you per night.

But you can still check or atleast contact their office.

If you're looking for a safe and comfortable place.

I can suggest Malayan Plaza in Ortigas.

It's like 2-3 years old and walking distance to malls, restaurants, Light Rail Transit, and coffee shop etc.

It's a condotel and charges between 3,000-5,000 pesos per night.

It has a refrigerator, microwave, TV/Cable, DVD player and parking lot.  It's like 30 minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport depending on the traffic. If you need to rent a car...just go and ask the front desk. 7-11 store is within the building. Laundry wouldn't be a problem for they do laundry too.

Go check their website. I believe the condotels in Makati area are cheaper.

  2. I would suggest you save the extra money to raise your daily budget. The risk of you getting accosted and harmed while living in the bad part of town because you're too cheap to afford safe accomodations is way too high.I don't think you realize the degree of risk you are taking on by doing thi--especially as a first timer who doesn't speak the language. It is NOT worth it.

It seriously cant be that hard to save an extra 30 bucks a day for 4 short days.  Heck just put it on your credit card, if getting a short term parttime job is too difficult.

  3. There are some places, but it kind of depends on what you want to do. If you are just passing through on your way to and from one of the other islands (boracay, Puerto Galera, etc.) and you want to hang out to party and shop there are a few places in Malate/Ermita where you can stay.

Malate Pensione, Pensione Natividad, a few others - you can PM me.

  4. sorry, looks like your going to be homeless, but on the bright side at least you won't freeze

  5. why are you so cheap?

lol!! you have been asking these questions..

  6. Check out the Townhouse, situated in Paranque, just off Roxas Boulevarde. It is about 10 minutes drive to any terminal at the airport, depending on traffic.

You can get dormitory accommodation for usd $4 per night. They have other cheap room options up to usd $22 per night. Their website is here:

If you would like to see a video of the place, download and watch a free video from this page of my website:

Let me know what other places you will be staying as I might have cheap suggestions for those places too! You can contact me through my website.

    I hope this helps!

  7. If you will only be there 4 days thats a tough order.

I can recommend some good furnished, secure condos for $15 a day if you are staying an entire month. For only 4 day stay you will likely be relegated to a hotel.

In manila for a hotel with any measure of security at all you are looking in the neghiborhood of $45 a night. Most crime in Manila that is directed at foreigners is petty theft and street roberies. You really need to be concerned with the security of your belongings while you are away from your hotel, and your ingress / egress areas at the hotel.

For $15 a night it will be difficult to find a reasonably secure place in Manila.

  8. i was just in the philippines last week. I was in Cagayan de oro and even t here it was hard to find a decent place for $15.. The decent hotel there were from $1000 and up. So, manila would be tougher to get a cheaper place because even in the province or cities hard to get a hotel for that price. Although there are some I saw but only for 3 hours-6 hours stay i guess its meant for just.... you know haha. Well, you going to have to raise your budget if not I advice you go some other time when you have enough cash. Philippines is cheap but not that cheap, money there runs like water if your not careful and also because there are so many things to do you will be tempted to spend spend spend! It happened to me.. I was like whoaaaa a scuba diving (discover)for only $70, parasailing only $35, motorbike only $12 a day so I spent all of it in one day and it all came up to more than $100 in a day hahah so now im home i gotta work to pay off credit cards hehehe. Goodluck and have fun!
