Question

Sleeping Warrior

In my dreams,

their rattling chains

echo

from distance places,

tethering me to old fears;

hauntings from ancient giants

that awaken

an inner warrior’s rest.

“Listen to your own voices”, it whispers calmly

above the clamor of unsettled soul,

“Trust in your own power,

you are strong enough to stand and conquer.”

I liked it, the idea that within all of us is an untapped source of power, that we could call up.Something that unites us with our

past, our individual heritage.

I love your open prose! It takes me somewhere that words have built this imaginary place that I can lie in comfort, my spirit being nourished by soliloquy and bravado. I bless you. For in this work I dine and I drink freely 'til I am full. Grade A++!

I like the positvity-The light through darkness. I am haunted by my own ghosts but it is nice to read poetry about overcoming it
