Anyone dislike the 'uniforms' in Women's Beach Volleyball?

I like watching volleyball, so I do watch beach volleyball at times. But, I mean, I know they play on a beach, and it should be swimsuit'ish', but I don't particularly like watching their bikini bottoms constantly riding up their bums. Couldn't they wear something different? Even wearing boyshort bottoms would be a huge improvement. We don't see the men beach volleyball teams wearing speedos.

I totally agree! They might as well be wearing the sand!

I agree. Its all about ratings sponsors etc. Women's sports are so sexualized, it takes away from the sport...

Its the same with indoor volleyball...girls wear spandex but the guys don't have to...

I agree. I LOVE volleyball but have always disliked the 'uniforms' in beach volleyball.  It makes me feel like people may only concentrate on the lack of clothes; rather than the sport itself.

they should be allowed to wear one piece suits and even those that have knee length legs like the swimmers wear. I like seeing girls in lycra so more coverage in the stuff isn't a problem!

I don't agree, and no not because i am a guy and you think that is all i want to look at. I love volleyball in fact it is all i watch pretty much during the olympics....but when i watch women's beach volleyball i don't watch b/c of the fact that they are wearing bikini's it is because the level of volleyball is amazing and I just love to watch it and see how the best in the world play. So i don't think i makes that big of a deal.

oh my gosh! i know what you mean! beach volleyball is my favorite sport and i cant get over the uniforms! i tell my friends all the time how i cant get over how girls have to wear stuff that just barely covers them and guys get to wear normal stuff! we have more stuff to cover then them anyway! you are totally right and i completely agree! rock on!
