Anyone do Expedite Trucking with sprinter Van?

My Husband and i are thinking of do expedite trucking only with a sprinter van, Does anyone out there do this, any tips would sure help us.......and how much money can a team make doing this? Thanks so much

Yes, there are expediters with sprinter van.  See them going up & down the highway every now & then.  (I'm an otr company driver for a large TL carrier).  Was just at Mid American Truck Show in Louisville, KY this weekend (Yes, I shouldn't be up since I was at the show all 3 days, but I am too wound up) & they have an area of the show specifically for expediters.  In addition, in Wilmington, OH, on I71 they have their own show every yr.  I believe in Aug.  Check out expeditersonline.com & truckingshow.com for more information on the industry.

Many expediters are owner-ops, so they have to run their business like no other.  Know what your bottom line is & get a fuel surcharge, if possible, since there are many drivers struggling to stay afloat.  Be prepared for the ups & downs of trucking.  There will be areas of the country where freight is no problem & areas that force you to deadhead hundreds of miles for a load.  From what I heard, you can have some of the most interesting loads of the industry.  Good luck!!
