I requested an application form from the above . They are based in Cheltenham and it's for filling envelopes for £1.70 per envelope as long as you send a £35 starting fee which is refunded after your first 25 envelopes have been filled. They pay via cheque or P/O.

Has anyone worked for this company and how did they get on?

Is this a scam????

  1. Why would any respected company want you to pay something upfront?

Sorry, I believe that if you send your £35 "starting fee" to them, it's the last you'll ever hear from them.

And I would query why they are based in Cheltenham as Solihull is just outside Birmingham.

If it was me, I'd steer well clear.

  2. Okay, I have done a little bit of research. I hope this helps :o)

When you check the site www.part-timeworking.co.uk you think well ok that seems genuine.

Then you check in the yellow pages, ideally use a postcode and what you will find is that the address EXISTS!!!  But it is an address for a mail-box company - meaning they go to a mail box instead of an actual address - suspicious.

Now in the advert that reads as follows - earn extra cash filling envelopes at home - Genuine (yeah right) offer open to all adults.  Free details call 0844 454 2038 (24 hrs) www.part-timeworking.co.uk - this is an automated message where you can apply for the same details as when you apply on the website - if this was a genuine offer don't you think there would be an actual person to speak to - this is getting very suspicious.

Another thing on the application form it says after you have paid your amount and sent back your 1st 25 envelopes you will get your administration fee back - guaranteed - Who guarantees this? I assure you how on earth will you be able to get back to them to complain or query when there isn't a telephone number to speak to a ‘real’ person and there is no email to contact them by?

Also, these companies want payment of the starter pack - £35, in this case it was previously £55 but you are getting an offer. (wow can this get any better, firstly you can become a millionaire in no time and all for a discounted price of £35 which I get back in the end – (Ever heard of this famous quote – Nothing in Life comes for free) - They accept payment via cheque, postal order, debit card or cash -1) you never send cash via the post, 2) you never give card details to someone you do not know - they could clear out your bank account overnight.

They also state that they will supply you with an email address and a telephone number after receiving and cashing your payment. - Rubbish any reputable company would give you a number or contact details before any monies pass hands to reassure you of any questions you may ask not send you FAQ in your no obligation application form.

NOW, THINK!!!  it would be cheaper for a company to purchase the right machinery and pay only once (the cost of this machinery for example £50,000) than, like these companies offer £1.70 per envelope and a whopping £2550 roughly for stuffing 1500+ envelopes per week!!!  Making it roughly £120,000 per annum per stuffer (lol) imagine a company having 100 people that would cost a company £12,000,000 per year when a machine will not cost more than an 1/16 of that, and the machine folds and fills envelopes about 5000 per hour.

In this day and age with technology as advanced as it is no envelope stuffing opportunities will come up - so therefore tell them to go get STUFFED!!!

  3. it is a scam
