  1. The pay will be about 1600 to 2000 a month. As for a dedicated route it will depend on where you live. They do have a lot of dedicated runs in some parts of the country.  What to expect from Swift, even though it is a large company there will be times when there is no loads and you will have to sit some where. There is a lot of new and old drivers there that do not like the company and complain every day that they hate their jobs. My opinion is if you're not happy go some where else. I stayed with Swift for almost 3 years, my dad stayed there almost 9 years. The other thing that I can tell you is don't expect too much the first year of driving. Stay with Swift for a least 1 to 1.5 years to give them a chance, or to move to another company. I now work for a company based out of Yakima, WA that is very good to me. I hope that this has been some help to you.

  2. the best thing for you to do is long around  find some one with good pay and more home time or runs that are close to home and dont jump for the frist one you find just look around and dont get a trucking job where they what you to sign for a new truck the last thing you want is payments on a new truck so just do your home work frist

  3. you will be tested for about the first 6 months or so until you prove your self Miles and pay are going to be less in the winter. You can expect to grose 1800 to 2600 a month.  Its alot harder job than most people think,  Best of luck on the big road.
