Anyone else been let down for irish army recruitment??

missed out on july and the august platoons because vetting form never got returned in time, rang the barracks yesterday and they told me that the training will begin november/december but that's only if they give the go ahead from the main barracks in dublin, and if they don't i'll have to wait till next february. AIN'T THAT JUST A KICK IN THE BALLS!!!

Tell me about it, missed the age dead line by 3 days but you can try again next year

It is a disappointment, but that is life; it doesn't always smoothly.  If you are about to get kicked in the gonads, you can protect yourself with the jockstrap of alternative options.

Find something to do (work; take a course if you have to wait until February - or a year of studies if  you delay entry, do something you always wanted to do, travel) until you get called up.
