The UN doesn't enforce thier own resolutions then bad mouths the US when it trys to enforce them. Bad mouths and blames the USA for every problem in the world, or crys that the US isn't doing enough when the US tries to help. Personaly I think the US should exit the UN then kick the UN out of America

  1. i think they should get outta the united states.........just joking dont send me to syria.......

  2. get the U.S. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of the U.S. !

a famous quote by Jerry Lewis

  3. I've been saying that for decades. Get out of the U.N. Kick the U.N. out of the U.S. and move them to a nice friendly country like France.

  4. what did france do dickon....pleeeeeeeeze remember we got chanel tunnel... do the uk really need that on doorstep...anyhow that building look good on ny skyline.you keep em

  5. I think the US should demand reforms from the UN.  If the UN doesn't comply, then we should leave it and make it leave US soil.  That way we'll either get an effective UN, or a good laugh at seeing it try to operate with less than half of its current funding.

  6. I disagree because countries around the world need to talk to each other.  I think the powerful countries tell other countries what to do too much.

  7. Everybody here has the wrong view on the United Nations. The UN was designed the prevent another war. Also, it is important to note that we follow the Geneva Convention not because we want to, but to set an example.

It is not a question about how much the US does, but what the US does. The US is actually one the nations that owe the most amount of money to the UN. Often the US goes to places, demands a change, and leaves. We can see this action in Afghanistan. The US goes and eradicates opium crops forcibly. However, we do not target the real problem. We leave these farmers even worse off then before. They just go right back.

In order the prevent more wars, the UN came up with something called International Sovereignty. This gives states the right to operate the way the wish, without being forced into something. You have to understand, that in order to change, you must want to change. The UN has many diplomatic advantages. It also brings many nations together to work together. It does a lot for states that follow the resolutions. The most important thing to understand here is that if we force states into something, we would start a war. However, the UN has done many things for states that are ready to follow the rules. Something is better then nothing.

Also, in the UN all nations are equal. If we were to go in and demand reform, we would be going against the whole foundation of the UN.

  8. No not really....I think America has a lot of influence in the world today. America sometimes oversteps the mark and gets too big for its boots. America doesnt listen sometimes and has to have its knuckles smacked from time to time by mother the UN.

America has become too Gung Ho and quick to react to any world conflict. The UN tries to calm the situation and finds its authority over ruled by the US at times which is quite frustrating. I think its too much coffee and doughnuts in the morning...it puts all Americans on Hype stand-by...Dont get me wrong I love America but it lacks diplomacy and tact nowadays.!! Its a wonder the UN havent dragged the president into the UN Court of human rights before now, because he too could be seen as a terrorist leader, entering countries as an agressor.

  9. Right on brother and while we're at it scrap the Geneva Convention since we're the only one who actually follows it.

I can't believe the joker that gave me a thumbs down for wanting to withdraw from the Geneva Convention.  He said we're there to set an example.  What a crock.

Tell that to the many families that had family members killed in combat needlessly when the other side ignored the Geneva Convention.

Look into how the Germans, Japanese and North Viet Namese treated American prisoners of war and compare that to how we treated prisoners from their country.  Bleeding hearts make me sick.

  10. I think the UN is a metaphor for the world:

there's the general assembly trying its best but just spinning its wheels (the vast majority of us) and then there's the Security Council of 5 member countries (US, Britain, France, Russia, China) that are the elite.  And like the world there is always a lot of instability in both assemblies.

The US is being mishandled, I think, on both fronts by inherent flaws in the UN political setup.

  11. I agree

  12. I would agree if it did not change. I do see where if they actually tried to police the world that it would be a huge benefit. But to much crookedness out there. Fact is we are still in an age were people live in huts, walk without shoes, governments run by religions, and we only victimize ourself by saying WE are not good enough. Let's face it, a little political incorrectness is really needed to get this world going.

  13. agreed here! plus, can i hav my answer chosen as the best plz?

  14. The Useless Nothing is bashing USA and Israel every day. The UN became a puppet of the worst dictatorships on Earth. The US and other democracies should either reform the UN, or dissolve it. Why should the US pay for the upkeep of that disgraceful organisation?

  15. the US should have been expelled long ago together with israel,as they are the worst rogue states and violators of the UN rules and resolutions.

It is more than bewildering why the UN headquarters are still in rogue state #1.

  16. Yes Indeed!  get US out of the UN!!!!

  17. Yep, and the UN should get out of America.
