I've tried everything. Shrinks, alternative, etc, just can't shake the fear. Nothing else bothers me, just the worry of vomitting.

  1. I'm not deathly afraid of it, but I do hate it. A few weeks ago I felt sick driving home, and I sat in my car for 20 minutes in my driveway until I felt some of the nausea go away so I could stand up. Just remember that if you do vomit, it's usually because your body is trying to get rid of something that it thinks isn't good for you. Think of it like running a few miles at a time. It sucks during the process, but you feel much better when you're done.

  2. Yes, my sister's had it since she was six. It's called Emetophobia, and is the fear of vomiting. We tried a number of methods, and recently my uncle who's an alternative medicine practitioner, suggested Crab Apple, a homeopathic remedy. The cure for emetophobia is about trying to feel less repulsed about bodily tendencies and perceptions about food or eating.

  3. I'm not at all afraid of vomiting. It seems like a phobia with you.
