  1. I'm more of a "Thankies" girl myself.

  2. I've heard "valley girls" or the girls from MTV's The Hills say that, I have an accent though & pronounce thank you as it is spelled.

  3. Its just a way of speaking

    "thank ya"

lol don't get so hung up on it man

  4. I don't really hang with teenagers, but what is wrong with getting a thank you no matter how it is said? Just accept the gesture and move on. :)

  5. I thought you meant something else!

  6. i think it is just trying to add animation and life to their speech and be friendly.

  7. I don't associate with ANY teenagers, oddly enough. I actually have no idea what you're talking about.

Am I getting old already? :(

We're not in high school anymore ladies and gentlemen...uh oh...

Next time I see my cousin, I'll get her to say "thank you". Perhaps I'll notice it then.

Edit: LOL @ Mutter's answer...I just noticed that. HAHAHAHA

  8. I don't watch the Hills or anything else on MTV but maybe that is where it originated from. Monkey see, monkey do.
