  1. here here,i am personally sick of them to

  2. Why did you cancel the policy mid term?  If you moved house, you should just let the insurer know and they will change the address for you and you will be able to keep the same policy number without having to start a new one.

Home contents policies are 12 month contracts; people should only break the contract in exceptional circumstances, such as if you are emigrating or you had a serious complaint, for example if the insurer provided you with bad customer service (in the latter case, they would usually waive the cancellation fee).

  3. yes!!! well not even cancelling mid term just not renewing

had insurance tied into mortgage and got it for half the cost for better cover elsewhere and had to pay £25 to the building society not to renew with them, i was so pissed off. and even more pissed when i got my mortgage statement through and realised that they were adding the premium on to my outstanding mortgage every year so i am paying interest on my insurance as well

  4. Your cnx fee will be in your T&Cs and sounds reasonable if the policy is being cnx mid-term. No need for swearing though mate.

  5. have never cancelled home contents before but have cancelled car insurance before now and been charged for that before. you know what the saying is though money always goes to money. thats why rich people get richer and poor people get poorer x

  6. No, but i did get stung by an internet p**n site for £40 recently!!!

  7. Why did yuu cancel it, why not just let it run its course?

If you've paid for the whole year and had to move, no need to cancel it.

If you were paying monthly, then why shouldn't you pay?

Most things have a fixed contract (phones, mobiles etc etc) You pay for theri services and if you cut it short, then there is a penatly to pay.  Sounds perfect;y reasonable to me.
