Anyone else have costochondritis?

I'm only 23 and have costochondritis. I was wondering if anyone else this young has it. Is it common in young adults? My mom also has fibromalgia. Is it likely that I also have fibromalgia and that is why I have costochondritis?

I have it now and again, as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is common in the young, but less common at my age. The symptoms though are the same and it is no fun. Best of Luck

costal chondritis is most common among teens and young adults, and it is a temporary condition that will pass with proper rest and treatment.  And no, it is not a precursor of firbromyalgia, the two are totally unrelated.
