Anyone else have impacted wisdom teeth and developed ?

an infection on the gum that covers it (pericoronitis)? How long did it take for it to heal? I'm in extreme pain and don't know if the mouth rinse my dentist prescribed is working. It's only been 3 days, but I thought I'd feel a little better by now.
