Anyone else have the guts to say that Jimi Hendrix is not the best?

I don't not like Jimi but i never thought he was the best. i prefer Stevie Ray Vaughn over Jimi(even though he was heavily influenced by Jimi i think he does a better job) although my favorite band of that era is led zeppelin(even though they stole alot of there music. that ruined alot for me).

I think he was the best of his time by far, i think others such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci and others are definitly far superior technically.  What made Hendrix special was the emotion he put into his music.

Jimi is bad.

I'm into the new current metal guitaristst and such and I ain't gonna get bashed on but leave it at this, Jimi is really not that great.

I respect ur opinion but I think hendrix is undoubtedly the greatest guitarist of all time.He had such charisma and he was such an innovator.But whatever u think man...

Haha it's not that people don't have the guts, it's because most people know Hendrix is the best.

And as for SRV - Better than Jimi? Talented guy, but no, don't think so. Hearing his cover of Little Wing was almost enough to kill the song for me.

Jimi is not the best, although he is very talented, but if you wanna hear a good guitarist, you all should check out 'Paul Waggoner'.  you will cry when you see what that man can do on a guitar

there's a dude named Gus G that's in a c**p load of different bands...and I'd definitely say he's better than Hendrix.  he's in the band Firewind now.  used to be in mystic prophecy, dream evil, and nightrage, maybe more, idk.

I don't think he's the best, but from what I've heard he was a great innovator.  Technology and technique has come a long way since then, so in the absolute sense some of the people today are better.  However, it is easier to imitate (or even to improve upon something that's already good) than it is to invent.

I think John Petrucci is the best. But Jimi certainly is respectable.
