Anyone else having trouble sleeping after taking effexor xr?

I was put on this anti anxiety drug about 2 months ago...

At first, I was just having trouble falling asleep, but now I can't sleep at all.

It is 5 in the morning, and I'm still awake.

I stay awake until it is physically impossible to do so any longer.

Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, what did you do?

Most antidepressants have as a side effect insomnia.  Are you taking it in the morning or at night?  If night change it to the morning.  

If that doesnt work ask your doctor for a prescription of Remeron too.  It is an antidepressant you take at night.  Its biggest side effect is that it makes you sleep.

It never happened with me.  If it continues ask to be put on another medication.
