I can't wait for 2012, hopefully it won't be as corrupted and money driven as these were.

  1. I wouldn't say over hyped, but I did question some of the 'judging' especially where medals were awarded based solely on judges marks.

to say they were biased is just a slight understatement

  2. i hope the london games are better, and more memorable.

and i hope australia can beat them smelly brits this time around even if theyve got the home ground advantage

  3. Dude, u should be more appreciative that China did their best for sports and the athletes, and not make ridiculous political accusations. Take your hate elsewhere.

  4. Very much so RERE END, David Gallop wasn't on the organizing committee was he? it had that NRL feel about it, you know, a 2 bob show, all dressed up with no where to go!!

  5. Yes when the London performers came in the Bird's Nest and completely messed up the atmosphere. If you want to talk about money driven. Talk about spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an ugly *** logo.

  6. I think it was adequately hyped and exceeded my expectations.

  7. I'm dissapointed in NBC. They were so biased towards diving, I think they showed every dive attempted by every diver the whole games, night after night after night, ad nauseum. *snore*

In the mean time, they didn't show many other sports they could have. You were lucky to get 10 minutes of a gold medal showdown in many sports. It was all gymnastics, track, diving, and volleyball if you were willing to stay up til 3 am. They showed late night re-runs when they could have covered other sports. I think they had a shortage of cameras. Or the camermen were too lazy to walk or drive or ride a bike from one venue to another. They even missed the most important part of the women's marathon...when the winner broke away from the pack. Pathetic, NBC.

  8. China thrown in big money to prove to the world and to prove to themselves that they can make it. Now, the world has to recognise China differently. Excuses and denials are not going far or anywhere. The result is there to once again tell the World. My system works.

  9. I think London 2012 would be more of a normal Olympics of what we are used to seeing. Beijing 2008 is more of a Las Vegas showcase, with lots of people and lots of extravaganza! And not forgetting lots of controversies. I rather see a more genuine London 2012 than a fake Beijing 2008. However, I'd like to give credit though to China for putting up such a show (which no countries in the world would probably be able to do so) and the athletes who have created history in this Games.

  10. Thank gawd London is not `cough' 'cough
