Anyone else hoping that Mark Martin never really retires?

Mark Martin is such a classy guy on and off the field. I wish some of the younger, newer drivers who are extremely talented in driving but lacking in social skills would learn some lessons from him. I am going to miss him when he truly retires. Anyone else feel the same?

I don't see any of the younger drivers being as humble and classy as he is. When he and Jeff Burton both are gone, it's the end of an era.

Of course. He's the coolest hippest veteran at the track every time he races. He loves his fans and is great to everyone in the garage. Personally, I wish he would race a whole season for DEI and go for the championship because he can fly in that black #8 car.

I would like to see him get out of driving before he becomes just another field filler like Dale Jarrett and Darrell Waltrip did. I'd hate to see him stuck running out back with the losers and wannabes. Great job avoiding that wreck today by Martin!!! Denny Hamlin should open his eyes and take some notes from Mark on that one.

I wish he'd keep racing forever. If only he'd get out of that Chevy and back into a Ford, but I still like him even if he is with The Dark Side now. Go Mark!

Yeah Mark is a class act.  I met a few drivers, and Mark was the most friendly of the bunch.  Some of the others just had a snob way about them.  I think once he really does leave the sport, racer like him will be a thing of the past.
