  1. I do.  Check out my site, and the other contributors on there too.

  2. Literally 100s of thousands of people. I am a member of a Yahoo Group which charters trains on preserved railways just in order that people can take photographs.

  3. I hate to burst anyones bubble, but just so you know..... We lovingly call you all "foamers" when we see you doing this on the side of the rail.  If you spent as much time on these engines as we do I think you would see how they lose their appeal after a while... but hey, photograph away!!!

  4. http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/NS...

Join up. You will see alot of pics from the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Division from Johnstown, PA to Gallitzin, PA and other areas as well.

  5. I think so too.

I don´t take photographs too much but, if I did so as a hobby, I would surely take pics of trains, stations, etc...

I like all the railroad environment. May be because I'm born in the 50's?

  6. Yes!!! It's fun waiting for the train to pass from a specific point, you have chosen. I am from Greece and I walk a lot with my sister's son to the mountains. We are passing tunnels, bridges and we try to have the best shot, when a train passes.

Now days the only place, that the people cry, is the train platform.

  7. I like taking photographs of trains, but that is also because I work for a railroad, which gives me ample chances to take the pictures.  If you would like to see my pictures, ask me for my photo collage website.

  8. I love to photograph trains.

    I am a 16 year old male.

  9. " Railfan" is the general term applied to anyone who chases trains to watch or photograph them. While I don't normally, I have in the past done so ( when I was laid off, I had spare time to visit the ACCA yard in Richmond, VA and the N&W in Crewe, VA ). Yeah, it's fun! Nothing like listening to them power up. I have a video on YouTube.com of a NS SD-40 with turbine, also some pictures on Flickr.com of various rail shots. Look for GremlinGTs on both websites.
