  1. My daughter is starting Kindergarten this year too, actually in 3 weeks and I am extremely nervous about it. I know she'll get through it just fine, but it doesn't keep me from worrying or being nervous.

  2. Colby31,

I have 4 grown boys and boy, I tell you it was the hardest thing i went through when sending them off to kinder. When my oldest started kinder... I cried and was miserable all day. I was an at home mom and having him home with mom made it much harder to let go. Thank god back then was half a day, now its a full day for these youngsters. I will tell you, it does get better after kinder. If he has been home with you and never experienced any kind of day care... He may get emotional at school and wanting his mommy. My son did. I ended up volunteering in his class, every time i would run to the office for his teacher...i would come right back and see that he has been crying. so I had to cut back on going. He was the hardest and his other brothers were fine only because they wanted to go because big brother is there.

The only thing I can suggest if you can, make 1 day a week to volunteer. I know, it does make you nervous. He may surprise you and do very well. Give him a week or two and remember to be excited with him and tell him how excited you are.

    Good luck!
