Anyone else out there who can predict colors with his eyes closed? (not a joke please)?

I am completely being serious. If you do not believe me, then get out of my thread because I don't need any "this is bullshit" comments again because this is true.

I am wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this. We were playing a guessing game the other day. There were small rings of two colors (red and green), and we were all going around trying to guess the colors with our eyes closed, and betting money on it for fun.

Well, I had the toy in my hand, had my eyes closed, and (okay if you don't believe what I'm about to say, I understand, and I'm not going to try and convince you), I could 'feel' the color in my mind, like the red color registered a 'deeper' feel than the green. I guessed right, every single time (there were at least 20-30 runs just for me alone). I thought it was 50% probability at work at first, and my friends thought it was weird as well. We opened up a box of markers, with 8 colors. I guessed right every time as well.

  1. I believe you. That's really weird. I've never heard of it. I'm sure there's a name for it. I wonder if blind people can do that.  Have researched to see if it's happened to anyone else? If I find anything . I'll let you know. Congratulations!!

Edit...I found something on it..but can't get it to come up. Somebody messed with my computer  & the links don't show either. Sorry. Just google "feeling colors with eyes closed".

Maybe eventually you'll be able to do psychic healing or be able to tell with your hands where someone's disease is in their body. You should research these things.

  2. I have not experienced this, but I will try it. Mean while try to get your talent expanded.

  3. I was not able to do it with colors but could tell what type of lines were on some cards. Different types of lines like a triangle, wavy lines, straight lines,a dot and a blank card. With me it had to be certain people. even if I had my back turned to them. Don't be afraid. Things will change as you grow older. You will evolve to different types of contact with your inner self.

  4. I have done similar things as well through my Therapeutic Touch training as well as other training.

Most likely, the reason you are able to pick up on the different colours, is because each colour of the spectrum radiates at different frequency. "feeling" the actual difference is very subtle but it can be done if you concentrate.

If you want to play more colour games with your friends; here's a couple you could try:

hold playing cards in your hands - face down and see if you can feel which colour it is. Put the ones you guess right in one pile and the ones you get wrong in another. In order for it to be more accurate than just random chance, you will need to get over half correct. Its fun to try.

Another game is to hold hands with your friend. Then you think of a colour, and focus all your thoughts on that colour. Imagine it travelling down your arms, through your hands and into your friend's hands, up their arms to their brains. Then see if your friend can guess what colour you are thinking of. You need to be really focused for it to work, but I think you will find it fun.

    I hope that helps. :)

  5. If this is true you should try Randi's famous million dollar challenge to prove you have a paranormal ability.

But I reckon his testing would be more rigorous than your friend's - for a start I would expect they would make you wear a blindfold.

  6. This is an ability that is extremely easy to test.  Test yourself properly and you could have a cool million bucks on your hands.

  7. I can't really feel colors, but I can predict colors of cars.  And I thought that that was really odd.  Like I'll predict the next car that comes down the street, and both the color and the make are right.  But sometimes I don't get the make.  The color is always right though.  And that's creepy . hahah but what you can do I'm going to try it !

  8. Everyone is differently-abled. I once knew a student at my college who was blind. He could not see anything, much less color. When he went to pick up his girlfriend though, he could hold his hand above her arm and say, "I like your orange sweater." He could feel the heat of the light reflecting off the fabric and, according to him, each color had a different heat and feel - he was accurate 100% of the time and could even tell fine difference, like light green and dark gree or sky blue and eggshell blue. It was really amazing.

That said, it stands to reason that you could be able to do this somehow - if it is paranormal or not, I don't know, but it seems possible that you could percieve in a way others can't.

  9. I've heard of this before. I have no personal experience with it, but here's a link...

  10. Yes,my mom and I used to play what we'd call,The Color Game. We'd guess correctly about 9 out of 10 times.Even when we'd choose odd colors, like gold or silver.I would just concentrate on white, then the color she'd be thinking of would "flood the white page"I had in my mind.It was neat,we haven't done that in many years, thanks for reminding me!

  11. When I was in grade school my teacher did an experiment with our whole class on this very thing.  I was the only one who guessed 100% of the colors correctly.  Not sure how to explain it, I just know that I guessed them all right.

  12. No, there is no one I've heard of who has this ability. You would be the first.

However, before getting too excited I'd strongly advise you to work with an independent team of researchers who are willing to test you with proper controls. For example, the 800 lb gorilla is this: having your eyes closed, and not blindfolded, is really a big hole in your claim. There is much that can be seen through almost-closed eyes, even through the eyelid itself in bright light. Secondly, how sure are you that the red and green didn't have slightly different textures, even a tiny bump or imperfection in the surface that could tip you off?  Those are the kind of things that scientists would control for.
