Anyone else really sad about Eight Belles?

It was very unfortunate, and I think there are a lot of people sad about it.  It was a mix of emotions, with Big Browns win and Eight Belles great loss.  She will be remembered.

But it happens in any sport ,,

I wonder if all these ANTI  horse racing people would be here if she died of a heart attack instead of breaking her legs

if they would be against racing still ?

Yes, its unfortunate.  Its unfortunate when I put any horse down due to a injury in the field, complicated foaling and such and such. Its even more unfortunate that it was on tv.
