Question:

Anyone else really turned off by the completely obvious endorsement of Obama by the media?

I'm a registered republican out of Texas, so it doesn't even matter to me who gets the nomination. But it's just mind boggling how everything from MSN, Yahoo, CNN, everybody is talking about how awesome he is or how only old white people and out of touch hispanics would vote for Hillary. They're always taking these happy smiling obama pictures next to unflattering close ups of Hillary's eyes or negative expressions with shadows on her face. Or you see headlines like "Hillary wins, so what?" "Obama got a superdelagate! so did hillary but who cares..." It feels kinda yay kennedy-esque.

So, am I wrong? Or do you think that the CNN going on all morning about how Bush and Obama are rivals (even though they are in no concievable competition) is just some good old fashioned balanced news?

  1. I was a journalism major.  It may have been my naivete or the fact that twenty years ago, there were not 100 channels on television and the Internet was not as popular as it is today, but I was always taught that a journalist has to be objective.  Today, the media has the reputation of being extremely liberal and left. (Not only the reputation but it IS LEFT & LIBERAL.)  Except for Fox, every other channel is extremely liberal.  As someone else answered, there is going to be a media darling, and this time around, it is Obama.  It USED to be the Clintons.  As I heard a person speaking say, CNN was Clinton News Network, ABC was All About Clinton, CBS was Clinton Broadcasting System, etc, etc.  The media runs the country, and I know many people will disagree with me, but a lot of the negativity of Bush, is due to the media.  You never hear about the good things going on in Iraq - the schools being built, the women that are able to go to work, the opportunity for Iraqis to vote for whom they want for the first time in ages, etc.  Not only is the media enamored with Obama but most all Democratic politicians seem to be as well.  I do not know if the Clinton's past actions are finally catching up with them, and the politicians endorsing Obama feel they can "mold" him, but he seems to be everyone's choice, and quite frankly, he scares the c**p out of me!

  2. Are you getting this creeping feeling they just might be telling the TRUTH?

  3. Actually the war is not failed, we have made a lot of progress. Rebuilding a country is not going to follow a blue print. If it was a democrat that took us to war. Everyone would be talking about how he saved the Iraq people, and he is a hero. Clinton bomb the mess out of Iraq, haven't heard a thing about that being wrong.

  4. nope seems fine no one will vote republican after the failed war , the huge debt the USA has incurred and the failing economy

the only question is which democrat

you have to feel sorry for the republican candidate , (who is it anyway?) he has come after the usa's worse president of all time

  5. Well occasionally there is a media sweetheart and hes easy to back by the liberal media since he is the farthest left of anyone who has run for the office.  Yes Kennedy was a sweetheart, he could womanize and cheat on his wife and kids and everyone turned the other cheek.  Especially since the assassination, he didnt and couldnt have done any wrong.  Folks forget that he was the one who first sent advisors to viet nam and then military observers and then military instructors and support.  Then Johnson accelerated the war that cost over 50,000 lives and thousands of invalids.  Since everyone loved him, he gets a pass and Johnson and Nixon gets the blame.  Its definitely a form of ideological brainwashing through propoganda...but what are you going to do?  Some day we will find out that the freedoms of the press may be one of the most misused forms of communication and then we will step on this misuse of editorializing and opinion giving that has taken over REPORTING of the news.
