Anyone else samsung lcd tv?

take long to come on after pressing the on button?

I have a philips which takes about 3-4 seconds to actually come on after pressing the button and two samsungs and they both take about 10 seconds to actually come on after pressing the button, my friend also has a samsung that does the same...is it a samsung thing and if so anyone know why?

Mine doesn't take that long to turn on. I have a ln-t4665f and it takes about 5 seconds.

Ours does not take long to come on and we have 2 samsung tvs in our house and they only take seconds to come on.

Get it checked

lcds need a warm up and cool down period when you turn them on or off.  if it is taking abnormally long (25 to 30 sec) unplug the tv for 5 minutes and try it again.  if it is still taking too long call the manufacturer for more troubleshooting and possible repair.
