Anyone else sick of all the noise at 8 AM from lawn services?

Lazy Americans( yes I'm American) can't cut their own grass anymore. More than 3/4's of my street use a lawn service, a few times a week, presumably all illegal immigrants working for the service. My 13 month son can't take his naps b/c of this. Is there a way to get a law passed for them to start later? This makes me want to move out to the country where it's quiet!!

I LOVE mowing early in the morning.  Especially when I know I'm waking People up.  Call me mean but I think its ridiculous for people to sleep in late.  The World does not revolve around those that choose to sleep in.

by 7 i'm on a construction site making my own noise. what time do you suggest the world wake up and start the day? they have many lawns to service and i'm sure they would like to get home some time before dark and sit on their own couch. mexican or not.

No, that's work time and they are workers! It's a hot job, they want to be finished before the heat of the day. Be grateful you aren't in the desert where workers may start before 8 a.m. Yes, many are immigrants, legal and illegal.  Several generations before the lawn people were mainly Japanese.  They came to this country after WWII and worked menial jobs and busted their butt so their children could get educated.  And look at the kids now.  

Find ways of sound proofing your child's room or install a white noise machine to mask the mowers.

The good news is, if they start early they finish early so you can enjoy a peaceful evening in the garden. You don't think gardeners start working early in the country too?
