Anyone else sick of way press use celebritities?

i know we all want to know the latest but look at britney spears shes obviously having some sort of breakdown and the media use it as some sort of entertainment, it just really winds me up sometimes when anysort of celebrity gets front page news then some killer on the loose get a tiny section of a newspapaer

You are obviously one of the people buying the papers, therefore it is your responsibility as much as the press.  The press only get away with what the people let them.  I never buy papers or magazines.  I'm not interested in celebrity culture and the rest of the news is just too depressing.

thats the life celebrities chose to live. no one forced them into it. and so they have to face the music.

the media will never stop using celebrities as a sort of entertainment because this means money for them

Yes, but I don't know who is using whom. I'm sure the celebs are as much to blame as the press.

I totally agree with you; it's about time the press were reined in.  As for Britney, it's half the media's fault that she's the way she is (with her parents being the other half of the problem, but that's a whole other story), considering how much they've hounded her over the years.

Obviously everyone has the same idea which is silly ,like don't read the paper. Well what if its the only paper You can read, they are all the same including Magazines, The papers and Mags are owned by large corporations which are controlled by our governments, keep us fixated on the celebrities while our governments can do damage to other country's economy's. We don't hear much about Iraq, Korea, East Timore, Indonesia, Somalia,I could go on but you get my drift. so they give us gossip and like sheep we read it and forget about what is really going on, The Germans did it in WW2 so now we let our Gov do it.

Yeah, the paparazzi is WAY too hard on the celebs...especially Britney Spears. Good point about the killer thing too. : )
