  1. The stimulus checks are being mailed out according to the last 2 digits of everyone's SS#. My gf is still waiting on hers. You can go to irs.gov to look up the dates stimulus checks are being mailed. And the status on yours.

  2. I was told by a live person at the IRS that mine check had been mailed 6/20 and it is 6/25 and still no check so I am not sure

  3. You were told you'd get direct deposit  at the beginning of May?  By whom?

A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren't, so are assuming they'll get it earlier than they really are.  For example, if you had a tax prep place do your return and had your fees taken out of your refund, you aren’t eligible for direct deposit.

Check your bank statement from when the original refund came - if it says "US Treasury" you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check

Since the first round of direct deposits is done, it sounds likely that you'll be getting a paper check.

The other possibility is that you filed too late for your return to be processed by the 4/15 cutoff to make the first round of stimulus payments

  4. I too am also waiting on my mine.  I have been told that you you must file your taxes first, and unfortunately mine have been rejected.

  5. You can go to IRS.gov and there is all kinds of information, including a form you can use to track your payment.  If you owed taxes on your 2007 return and paid by electronic debit or were owed a refund and claimed it via direct deposit then you're eligible for receiving your stimulus payment via direct deposit.  You should have received it already into the same account you provided on your tax return.  Keeping in mind that there are several reasons why your stimulus payment may have been withheld, I would suggest going back over your bank records to make sure you didn't happen to miss it somehow and then contacting an IRS representative to help you figure out what happened.
