Anyone else stopped caring about popularity?

Question

Its like I used to get so caught up in what looked "cool" and what others thought of me but I've realised now I don't really give a ****. I'll play pokemon if I want and I'll wear my skinnies with converse high tops, I don't care if you think I look emo!

Am I the only one?!

I agree with you ! Being cool/popular is really stupid because it's not being yourself and it's copying everyone and doing stupid things...

I wouldn't fit in with the "popular crowd" because I don't act over confident.

I just ignore them !

None of my high schools have ever had "popular" group of kids. It's not like the movies, in middle school, where everyone cares about everyone else's opinion, i did care. I used to really care in 6th and 7th grade. Popularity is immature, and in large schools, is impossible.

I honestly don't care what other people think about me, and i have friends who like me for who i am, so i don't have to pretend to be something im not so others will like me. :P

Nope. I stopped caring awhile ago. I used to try, but then I got my own style, and nothing changes except for the guys that ask you out are the ones that think by your style you look like a really cool person, because your style expresses yourself.

Me, a long time ago. I realized that when I was popular. It sucks so bad, I don't even remember my motivation. But, it was like, drama, and then you have to look perfect 24/7, you have to date the hot jerks, you have to keep up with the latest trends, and God forbid, you get one small pimple and everyone's talking about it!! And it's just not fun! Nothing about it is fun! I admire your ability to just throw it all away and be yourself. That will help you in the long run, as it did for me. I have the most amazing friends now, and it's all because I decided to have a life. Good luck, have fun, and stay beautiful ♥

I always liked it when the Populars got in trouble and once, one of the Populars tripped with her spaghetti and cake and it flew and hit another one of the Populars on her white blouse and her chocolate milk flew and splattered the principal.
