I mean she's only been governor for 2 years....in Alaska of all places where the population density is very small.

She only had 140000 votes for her...and she won.

h**l.... school board members in my county get more than that.

Who even heard of this chick until today ?

  1. She has more experience than Obama and she is only going for the VP slot.

  2. She's got more experience than Obama's 143 days.

  3. I do we just watch Palin  speck and i have to say McCain and the republicans will have a hard time selling this young woman to the american peoples she have no passion just like mccain .Neither can move the peoples with thier policy or speeches.(1) let's get serious this show the lack of judgment on McCain part.(2)Palin is no Hillary Clinton she only been a Governor for 2 years and we are talking about Alaska where the wild life out number the peoples 20 to 1.(3) i would not feel comfortable having Palin running this country in a case where something happening to McCain .3) Palin is under a ethic investigation .4) We know that Biden is ready to lead on day one if something ever happen to Obama. I personally think McCain just handed the presidency to OBAMA.

  4. yes, for sure. Obama 08 definitely.

  5. Terrible choice.  Not ready to lead.

Given that McCain would be the oldest elected President, he needed to reassure the public that if he dies in office the VP is ready.  Terrible, terrible choice.

  6. She has executive experience in running a goverment rather then legislative experience in politicising issues.  I think she has as much if not more experience then the Presidential Candidate from the far LEFT.

  7. She's well versed in official corruption, that's fer sure. Said witch oughta fit right in with the other Repugnicans!

  8. How much experience does Nobama have again?

  9. She has 6 more years than Ubama. Yeah but she has more experience than Ubama just from being on the PTA

  10. I think she is too inexperienced.

I mean, McCain is like 77 years old!

If he were to die, she becomes president?

    YEAH RIGHT!

It looks bad on McCain's part because he keeps saying how inexperienced Obama is but he picks her of all people to be VP!

His choice was a complete gamble!

He better hope his chips fall in the right place!

  11. When selecting a VP, a candidate must take two main factors into account.

#1) Is this person ready to be president

#2) Will this person help my ticket.

I'd say McCain has it backwards but he seems to have neglected the readiness issue altogether. The theory I guess is that by picking a woman he will draw some of the middle class female vote who are upset about Obama not picking Hillary.

As if women were really that stupid.

When you take into account some of the recent health issues and his old age, it seems like McCain is willing to gamble our future for a few votes that he probably won't get anyway.

    Bad Judgement John.

  12. Yes, and it scares the c**p out of me to think that she would be PRESIDENT(!) if McCain became disabled or passed away.  This 1-term governor is going to take on Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinajad?  Yeah, right.

  13. A failed Miss America contestant who's married to an oil executive. Oh boy. Somethings wrong with Johnny and his judgment

  14. She has been involved in politics for along time she even went to school for it.

Plus the 2 years in Alaska where she has shook things up and they love her.

She is also strongly pro-life feminist

    She is a good choice.

    Vote McCain / Palin

She has had lots of corruptions investigated I think the Dem's are scaried.

  15. lol......Only 2 years as governor. Are you kidding me?

People are talking like she has been in politics for at least 15 years.

  16. and a two year congressman, that spent only 144 days in DC, the rest campaining....has more?

Well he does has the  "Present" vote down

  17. It's only been twenty months. Of course she's too inexperienced.

  18. Actually, she only got 114,000 votes which was only 48% of the least populous state.

Being governor of alaska is no experience for President. She doesn't even have to struggle to balance a budget becuase Alaska has a surplus of oil revenue. She has never had to raise tax money. (so she certainly has never cut taxes, which is what Republicans love!)

I am simply stunned at the poor judgement of this choice.

Could it be anything other than pandering to former Hillary supporters.

(HA HA - I'm listening to Palin talk right now and she is praising Hillary. The crowd is giving a tepid response with mixed boos to the mention of Hillary's name)

  19. Wow, do you really think the word chick is the right one?  This woman is a mother of 5 children, one in the army. The last born with downs. She went back to work 3 days after delivering her last child this past spring. I think she has what it takes to show up for work.

She has lowered property tax, she has gotten rid of corruption at the gov't level in alaska, she has taken a pay cut to help the budget. Not to mention she has what it takes to survive in Alaska.

I think she is a great choice for VP.  I spent 4 years in Alaska with the military.    but

I am from Illinois, and Obama never votes, he has made no changes for the good in his state. Basically he has done nothing.  Other than lie about his religion, cut his mothers family out of his life(the white side). Flip flop. Do a snopes search on Obama and take it all in.

I will not vote for a person by color, creed or s*x.  But I will vote for a person with a child in the military, the same people who afford me the right to vote.  John and Sarah both have children in the military.   They will get my vote hands down.

  20. Some of the same things you're saying has been the argument against Obama the whole time. Obama isn't ready to lead. He has the same amount of experience as Palin does. What's wrong with you libs?

  21. No way.

  22. Especially if McCain`d health wend down hill and she had to be commander in chief of the military.

  23. No, I think she is better qualified as Obama..

Not only is she ready to lead but she has been leading for years and not just part of some large legislative body..

  24. I would like to see her go against Obama joe Biden in a game of one-on-one (she was on an actual basketball team).

And in my mind, a mayor and governor does a lot more than a "community activist" and senator with the same number of years experience - She has actually run something for a living! She also went after a corrupt member of her own party (usually political suicide) and won, that's the kind of community activist I want. And she isn't too bad looking either. And I bet she probably knows the difference between a battalion and brigade.

  25. Palin has more experience running a government than both Biden and Obama! They have no executive experience. Go McCain/Palin 2008!!

  26. Too inexperienced and too unethical.  She's under investigation for trying to get a subordinate to fire her ex-brother-in-law state trooper.  HUH?  This is a good pick?  I don't think so....

Besides, if they are trying to get Hillary voters, she won't appeal, she is too conservative. Prolife and pro guns won't fly with them if they really think about it.

  27. Quite a few people and she has a great reputation among Democrats as well.

  28. both she and obama are inexperienced.
