Anyone else think that Pavel Datsyuk is the best russian right now?

I know everyone is going to say ovechkin or malkin but there not as good defensivly and i know your going to say he isnt phyical enough but everytime i have watched him play he makes some good hits and takes them and isnt afraid to go to the traffic area's...And i am a Flyers fan not a redwings fan.

no... he is not.... everyone else is right Ovechkin is more physcial, and has more stick, speed, and shot skills. Malkin is the number 2 russian, but you must rember that he is younger, while Pavel has had a couple years in the NHL...Datsyuk is probably the number 3 russian

Forget the Russian aspect, he is the most complete package, best 2 way player/forward in the league, sportsmanlike and dazzling for lack of a better term.

i wouldnt say the best, but hes definatly top 5 worthy

2  Malkin

3.  Kovalchuk

4.  Datsyuk

Im still puttin Kovalchuk up there, because he can get points even with a not so good team, plus he can kinda play physical. Can anyone really name more than 5 players on Atlanta. I got nuttin against Datsyuk, but it helps to have Zetter,Holms, Lidstrom,plus many other good players

Arguably.

I am a Red Wings fan.  I do think Ovechkin probably should get that title because goal scorers like him are very rare.

He is definitely top 2.  Right now he is better than Malkin and Kovalchuk. He is not the goal scorer that these others are because he is a playmaker first.  But as he has shown, he has one of the best wrist shots in the game.

i am a huge wings fan and i think that Pavel is one of the best players on the wings bench but i dont think that he is quite the best russian right now just for the fact the ovie is younger and has outscored Datsyuk and everyone else. Plus Datsyuk is more of a selfless player, the guy just scored his first hat trick a few games ago. Though i think that he is second only  to ovie, but he is also a highly underated player like so he doesnt get near the attention that ovie gets.

I wouldn't say the "best" I never say anyone is the best but he is an all-around good player.  He can skate circles around anyone and still keep the puck but ain't afraid to get physical either.

Oveckckin, malkin than datsyuk.Datsyuk got a hat trick not so long ago in the playoffs, so he's one of the best right now.

Yes, arguably the best player in the NHL. in the past he might of been lacking the physical aspect but not now. He led the wings in hits in the last game. The best 2 way player. a showman for sure.
