the way the match is going sri lanka was batting very slow and was soooo boring to watch...if srilanka wants to win they are going to have to take 20 wickets in 2 days even though they have murli and vaas 20 wickets in 2 days is hard 2 get in test matches...so the only conclusion i am ending up with is mahela wants the match to be drawn.....

  1. Mahela was rite..he take a chance to make that many runs which could create pressure on Indian.. i think this works

  2. Mate, more than 300 runs per day is good, especially on a wet outfield.

600/d, the only way to win at SSC is to get a huge score in 2 and half days batting first and then try to take 20 wickets in the other two days.

SSC is goof to bat on the second and third day so don't let the opposition bat on those days. That's why Mahela tends to delay the declaration even if he is in a good position. You don't need to give Sachin any more advantages ...

  3. he wants to win

  4. i dont think so , they batted quite fast

  5. I always feel that way about Mahela in test matches. But i've learnt that you shouldn't underestimate his decisions as i have done before. He did the same sorta thing against England, and i was getting pretty angrey, the match was boring, Sri Lanka were batting slow and time was running out. But in the end Sri Lanka won quite easily. I knew from then on i shouldn't underestimate his decisions anymore. He knows what he's doing.

EDIT: Well there you have it, Mahela has reached the target he wants and has now declared at 600/6, which is a magnifecent effort by Sri Lankan batsmen. With 4 hundereds. Well Done Sri Lanka.

  6. Sri Lanka should have batted agressively after tea time on day two and should have declared at the close of day 2 or atleast after 1 hour on day 3
