  1. If I was there, I'd be booing Detroit. 33% + of the time of the last 11 years they've won it. Kick them out of the league and give some other teams a shot. Everyone should hate them.

  2. WHO REALLY CARES???THEY DIDN'T THROW ANYTHING ONTHE ICE OR AT PLAYERS---LET IT GO

  3. No...I think it's just you. They were cheering and classy all the way!

  4. Yes, they were horribly bad at losing. Chanting "Crosby" when Zetterberg was given the Conn Smythe trophy was just p.iss poor.

That was the worst attitude I have seen expressed by a Stanley Cup crowd during my whole life. The Penguins should be penalized somehow for their crowd's s.hitty attitude.

  5. Not at all

  6. Bottom line is the Penns went into the finals playing the best team in the league period. Thats what market this series well on NBC, due to Sidney Crosby marketing the everyone knows how well the Wings are. Perfect match up in  the series although Wings dominated. I wonder if this playoff final will actually boost the NHL: market better in ratings.

  7. Like Joe B said maybe you TV had a booing button on it the fans gave the Wings a standing ovation from what I saw.

  8. nopeee alot of people that are penguins fans were saying congrats to the wings fans on here & i was one of them.

  9. yah boi.  Gigidy Gigidy Gigidy Goo!

  10. I'm a Pittsburgh Fan and even I was in shock when the booing broke out.

Detroit played awesome...and they deserve it.  I am still bummed as is the rest of the city. ;-/

  11. When they presented the Conn Smythe the crowd chanted 'Fluery'........There was some booing.........not sure if they were booing Crosby or the wings.........I know they did boo Bettman.......

  12. ummm  not at all. like seriously if the pens won the cup in Detroit they would be doing the exact same thing. and plus all of the fans were cheering and congratulating the red wings. so maybe you should get over it. the wings already won the cup. congrats. good for you. so maybe you should stop rubbing it in and bashing the pittsburgh fans.

  13. they werent booing the redwings, it was Bettman they were booing. most of the fans stayed and showed respect for the wings. they know we got beat fairly. Detroits a better team but i think you'll be seeing a lot of Pittsburgh in upcoming years.

  14. I don't know, I heard a lot of cheering and applause. I was surprised at the amount of class Pen's fans showed. I guess it's all a matter of what you expect to hear. If you expect to hear a lot of booing, you probably will.

  15. Pens played great the whole series. But the WINGS TOOK IT!!!

  16. I live in the Burgh and was fortunate enough to be at the game last night, Pgh fans are the greatest fans...we cheered for our guys but did not boo the Wings. We know that our guys are young and will take the title back!!

  17. If you're not a sore loser, you're a seldom winner.  Get over it.

  18. no they aren't sore losers and i will tell you why. The wings would have done the same thing if they lost the cup, also the third goal was dumb the Fleury got pushed into the net.

but whatever, there's next year for my team (Avalanche)

  19. Umm actually they applauded quite appropriately. Just trying to make something out of nothing.....

  20. I thought they showed class, they were booing that idiot commissioner.

  21. I think the Pens fans behaved just like you'd expect from fans watching their team lose on home ice.  The booing seemed to be directed at Bettman and it was gracious applause until he stepped out on the ice.  The chanting was fine.  It's good to see the fans showing their hometown boys some appreciation for a hard-fought season.  They don't have to acknowledge or applaud trophies being awarded to the opponent.

  22. Actually...I heard them cheering.

  23. I heard them too when the Wings were celebrating and most of them left really quickly too which I thought was kind of rude but who knows we might have done that in Detroit too.  But, yeah, I think that they were sore losers.

  24. I was kinda shocked.  I thought they were in Philly for a minute.  Just because your top star is the poster boy for the NHL now does not give you the right to boo a team that beats them and costs them a championship.  That was total c**p when the fans were chanting Fleury's name when they gave Hank the Conn Smythe.

Yes, Crosby and Fleury had great playoffs, but Zetterberg was the best overall player in the post season.

I thought it was funny to watch Therrien's press conference after the game.  Thought he was gonna cry!  It must have really hurt him to say they got beat by a better team.  Laughed my *** off.

I lost a ton of respect for that organization and their fans last night.

    BTW:  LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Wings fan here.

If you watched the celebration with the volume on, it is ridiculous to say that there was NO "booing", and also ridiculous to say that there was NO applause.  Yes, Bettman was booed, no doubt.  But booing occurred while players were skating around with the cup.  About 50/50 booing/applause.  So not all Pittsburgh fans behaved immature, but some did.  Can we agree on that?

I can see how fans are upset that their team, that has suffered for so long, has lost after performing so beautifully in this playoffs.  Probably a few drunks as well.

If we are going to boo, let's boo the lack of fighting in hockey today.  C'mon, wasn't a sweet fight once in a while (especially in the playoffs) really really fun to watch?

  26. are you kidding me? I rarely heard any booing, but i will admit i heard some.

Sore losers would have left after the game was over, because they didn't want to watch another team raise the cup... Yet, like the good fans most of them are - they stayed to watch the wings celebrate their win...

  27. The only booing I heard was for Bettman.Maybe your TV produced more booing then mine.

  28. Booing the "Commish".

  29. There was NO booing from Pittsburgh fans..they were classy and stood and applauded the Wings.

The boo's you heard were cheers....IDIOT!!

**When the Conn Smythe was presented...Fleury was on the other end of the ice..Pens fans chanted his name and were cheering for him..because he would have been "our" pick to receive the trophy.

  30. Well I am a Wings fan but honestly I feel the fans have a right to feel the way they feel, I mean come on, wouldn't you feel the same if your team lost the cup on their own turf!!

Besides, the right team won and the Penguins are a good team also, they'll get their chance!!
