  1. I would recommend checking to see if you have any local support groups for parents of children with autism in your area.

You can also look in your telephone book at the agencies in your area that provide services to people with disabilties and let them know that you are available for babysitting or respite services .

  2. I know I could use you and sure many others can as well.

I would check into the Greater Orlando Autism Society and Center for Autism and Related Diseases (CARD) at UCF.

Maybe make a flyer and see if it can be distributed in the local schools or at a place that offers help to those with Autism such as intervention centers, occupational/ behavioral language/speech  therapy centers, etc. Maybe post a message on the Orlando Craig List..maybe even an add in the newspaper such as the Orlando Sentinel.

Good Luck and hats off to you for offering such a great service. =)

  3. Hun, you forgot to mention where you live.  I need a babysitter!  I am a only child...50 years old, married, and two special needs kids 12 and 10.  We only have my mother to babysit.  Where are you???   Can you babysit this Saturday? Wish wish.   We live near Long Beach, CA.  Anyway, I wish I watched "O" today.  I wonder if it was a re-run...she has made autism a topic before.... and everyone was wearing Austimspeaks.org puzzle pins.  Anyway, best wishes to you.  You should advertise in your local paper for babysitting positions AND advertise at local special needs schools.
