It's like since I am the oldest I've always had to be the strong one. When my parents were getting divorced I couldn't even cry in front of my little sister, it's like I have to act all tough and unaffected when really I cried silently myself to sleep for months. It's not just that- theres so many things that have happened. Because of that my whole family always calls 'emotionless' and said I have a 'black stone where a heart should be'. And now I can't show it cause no one has really seen me like that...I'd feel awkward. Any older siblings who get it?

  1. Yes, it took fifty years for me to learn that "being strong" and "not letting things bother you" are wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!!! You have the right to cry so do so. Don't worry if someone younger sees you. It'll be the best thing you ever did for them and for you too.

  2. i get you. im a older sibling of two little sisters. my parents arent divorced but have a NUMEROUS fights & arguments. i had to act like to tough one to show my little sisters it was going to be alright. that we were gonna get through this. & i also cried at night in my bed.

Ah, heartless? tell them, tell them you were just being brave, standing up. if they dont understand, they probably dont know you as much as they think they do. hopefully they`ll get it.

    (:
